The Journal – Winter 2019 – Cease Fire: Guns and Public Safety
Learn how to get past being triggered in the debate over guns and public safety.
The subject of firearms so divides us that we too often brusquely dismiss those who disagree with us. But if we’re willing to cross over the barriers we’ve built and honestly discuss our needs, our fears, and our obligations to one another, we just might find a way to reduce gun deaths and injuries and preserve the rights of Kansans to own guns and use them responsibly.
This special civic engagement edition of The Journal seeks to provide data and perspectives that help get Kansans out of their corners and into more productive conversations. It features 14 stories of Kansans with varying perspectives sharing what they believe about guns.
