Engage Kansas: Internet For All

Monday, April 24
5:30 – 7:00 PM
Hutchinson Community College Stringer Fine Arts Center
600 East 11th Avenue, Hutchinson, KS 67501

The KLC Journal is hitting the road for Hutchinson in partnership with KMUW and Radio Kansas!

Did you know that $5.7 million is coming to Kansas through the bipartisan “Internet for All” initiative to improve broadband access? How do you think that money should be spent? Should there be high-speed internet available in every corner of the state? How could this impact remote work, education, and telemedicine?

Now is the time to weigh in! This first-ever Engage Kansas event is a community discussion where you can share your thoughts and learn more about what’s next for broadband in Kansas.

Here’s what to expect from the gathering:

5:00 PM | Doors Open
5:30 PM | Audience Discussion (Space for you to share questions for the panel, as well as concerns and aspirations)
6:00 PM | Panel Discussion

The panel discussion will stream through Radio Kansas’ airwaves at 90.1 FM.

The regional panel will include:

  • Morgan Barnes, Kansas Office of Broadband Development
  • Stan Finger, KLC Journal Contributor
  • Daniel Friesen, Ideatek Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer
  • Rolf Potts, Kansas Resident and Travel Writer
  • Gregg Wamsley, Hutchinson Library Director
