Maya Bernstein | Associate
Maya Bernstein is an educator, facilitator, and writer with more than two decades of experience designing learning experiences for people working in complex, adaptive environments. With Rae Ringel, she co-created and led the Executive Certificate in Facilitation Program at the Georgetown University Institute for Transformational Leadership, supporting facilitators to design purposeful, responsive gatherings across sectors and cultures.
Maya currently serves as director of leadership education at Yeshivat Maharat, where she designs learning that integrates leadership practice, reflection, and experimentation. Her facilitation draws from Adaptive Leadership and design-based approaches, helping groups think systemically, work creatively, and adjust in real time as challenges emerge.
Her writing on leadership and facilitation has appeared in the Harvard Business Review and the Stanford Social Innovation Review, among other publications. She holds degrees from Columbia College, Harvard University, and Sarah Lawrence College.
