Maggie Francis | Program Associate
Maggie Francis serves as programs associate at the Kansas Leadership Center. She supports program delivery, helping create meaningful experiences that equip people to make progress on the challenges that matter most. She enjoys working behind the scenes and takes pride in knowing her work helps Kansans connect, grow and build the capacity to exercise leadership.
A born-and-raised Kansan, Maggie earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Ottawa University while working full time as a high school librarian and volleyball coach. She joined KLC with a passion for personal growth, collaboration and continuous learning. She believes there is always something new to discover and celebrate. Through her work, she has come to appreciate that meaningful change happens when people engage different perspectives, build relationships and face challenges together.
As a new resident of the Wichita area, Maggie enjoys unwinding with a drive home followed by a nightly walk with her partner and their Labrador Retriever. She prioritizes family and makes frequent trips home to visit her parents. When she isn’t visiting family, she’s exploring Wichita’s thrift stores and bookstores or spending time with her art supplies. She’s still hoping her colleagues’ plant skills will rub off on her. With an inherent black thumb, she much prefers connecting with nature by painting it.
