Jacob McCarty | Program Associate

Jacob serves as program associate at the Kansas Leadership Center. He supports program delivery, helping create meaningful experiences that equip people to make progress on the challenges that matter most.

A native of Goddard, Kansas, Jacob has always felt a strong connection to the state and the communities that call it home. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science, with minors in leadership studies and public administration, from the University of Kansas. During his time at KU, he developed a passion for strengthening communities and studied the four adaptive leadership competencies through the Leadership Studies Program. Those experiences strengthened his belief that anyone can exercise leadership to help make progress on difficult challenges.

Outside of work, Jacob enjoys reading, working out, spending time with family and occasionally DJing.
