The Kansas Nonprofit Chamber is working with the WSU VISTAs (Volunteers in Service to America) to create an action plan to help Wichita residents positively engage those who aren’t practicing state and local procedures. The groups plan to create flyers to distribute online and around the community that offers discussion points on ways to positively interact with individuals in a safe manner.
“Many people already know the healthy behaviors they should be engaging in. Instead of sharing the same information about mask usage and social distancing, we focused on the need to open a dialogue with those who are still not on board with those procedures. Offering some kind of script or suggestions on how to deal with those conversations will be incredibly useful for those promoting healthy behaviors.”
