Today:

Before Session 1:

• Read the one-page prep guide below.
• Read Harvard Business Review, Four Reasons Managers Should Spend More Time on Coaching and link to: https://hbr.org/2015/05/4-reasons-managers-should-spend-more-time-on-coaching
• Think about how people you work with who would benefit from coaching
• Come prepared to talk about a current challenge or opportunity where you would benefit from coaching.
• Look over the agenda below for the detailed agenda for each session. You may want to print this out or keep it handy electronically for reference purposes.
• Watch for a separate email sharing the passcode to access the Virtual Sessions.

Before Session 2:

• Spend at least 1 hour practicing coaching skills.
• Practice listening and exploring with peers and direct reports.
• Reflect and come prepared to talk about two current challenges or opportunities where you would benefit from coaching.

Before Session 3:

• Spend at least 30 minutes practicing with your partner using the LEAD Model for Managers Who Coach.
• Have two short coach-like conversations with a direct report.
• Come prepared to talk about a current challenge or opportunity where you would benefit from coaching.
