Alan Cobb, J.D.
Alan Cobb has been president and CEO of the Kansas Chamber of Commerce since March 2017. A native Kansan, he has been involved in politics and public policy at the local, state, and federal levels for more than 30 years.
Alan has managed statewide political and issue campaigns, served on the staff of U.S. Senators Bob Dole and Sheila Frahm, and advised the 2014 campaigns of Congressman Mike Pompeo and Senator Pat Roberts. He also worked as the Kansas governmental affairs director for Koch Industries.
He served as senior advisor and national director of coalitions for the 2016 Trump for President Campaign and was part of the Trump Presidential Transition team from November 2017 through January 2018. Alan was also an election observer during Ukraine’s 2014 presidential elections and is an alumnus of Kansas Agriculture and Rural Leadership (KARL) Class VIII and the 2021 Leadership Kansas Class.
Alan earned his undergraduate degree from Wichita State University, a master’s in government administration from the University of Pennsylvania, and a law degree from Washburn University School of Law.
He has three grown children and lives in Topeka with his wife, Holly. He loves all things Kansas, and Holly still teases him about wanting to spend their honeymoon traveling Kansas backroads. Alan is passionate about activities that improve and advance the state he proudly calls home.
