Daily Update: Group hopes to use catchy tunes to promote proper handwashing

The Dodge City ESL Migrant Program created an action plan to help students and families statewide practice proper handwashing. They plan to develop a set of culturally-relevant songs in multiple languages that can be sung while handwashing to help ensure the proper technique and length of handwashing is remembered.

“Working in a community with high levels of poverty and multiple languages, this group found a simple and effective way to Beat the Virus. So great to see so many engaged community members working together towards a solution.”

– Patrick Kelly, Facilitator
