2026 Wichita Documenters Empowering Public Speaking Workshop
Want to speak with confidence at city council or school board meetings? This free workshop provides practical tools to help you organize your thoughts and be heard.
Whether you are preparing to speak for the first time or want to strengthen your public comments, this session will help you approach the microphone with more clarity and confidence.
Public meetings are important spaces to share perspectives, ask questions and participate in community life. This session is designed to help residents feel prepared for those moments.
Participants will explore practical strategies for organizing remarks, staying focused under time limits and communicating clearly in a public setting. No prior experience is required.
The workshop will be moderated by Dioane Gates of the Kansas Leadership Center and Dalton Glasscock, Wichita City councilmember.
This event is free and open to the public. Advance registration is encouraged to help us plan.
