Liz Sosa
Liz Sosa was born and raised in southwest Kansas and has lived in Garden City for the past 25 years. An entrepreneur at heart, Liz owns a consulting business specializing in community development, organizational strategic planning, and legislative affairs. She is also the co-owner of a gift shop in downtown Garden City and serves as the operations director for the Western Kansas Community Foundation, overseeing the fiscal management of the foundation’s assets.
Liz’s approach to leadership development is rooted in “giving back through engagement,” as demonstrated by her decade of traveling across Kansas for her former role with the Leadership Kansas program, her work as a program liaison with the Kansas Sampler Foundation, and her current position as board chair for the Sunflower Foundation Board of Trustees, where she is completing her third and final term.
When not traveling between Garden City and Topeka, Liz enjoys spending time on the golf course or with her dog, Estlin.
