David Lindstrom | Chair

After graduating from Boston University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Dave went on to become a 9-year veteran of the NFL as a defensive end with the Kansas City Chiefs, retiring in 1986. Performing at the highest level of professional sports requires a tremendous commitment to and capacity for hard work and excellence – all of which have shaped his leadership skills. He has served as Chair of Special Olympics Kansas, Chair of the Kansas State Chamber Leadership Kansas program and Chair of the Kansas Turnpike Authority. He is a successful businessman who is a former owner/operator of four Burger King restaurants with 125 employees and currently manages his own real estate portfolio. He is a former Johnson County Commissioner serving 10 years and a Johnson County Community College Trustee serving 7 years. Dave and his wife Mary have two daughters and been married for 44 years.
