Daily Update: “Do the task, wear the mask” campaign to launch in support of local businesses
The Atchison County Extension Office hopes to launch its county-wide campaign by connecting with all communities and supporting local businesses, civic organizations, school administrators and churches with certificate programs. These certificate programs represent a personal commitment to follow state and county recommendations to slow the spread of COVID-19 and encourage these businesses to share pictures on social platforms of staff and patrons wearing their masks to help spread the word.

“The group is to be commended for their rich and deep conversation centering on effective ways to beat the virus locally. Their thoughtful discussion has prepared the group to launch a county-wide effort that invites community stakeholders to join the effort. The community connections represented by the group’s membership promises to spark community change.”
