Join us on October 29 at the Kansas Leadership Center for a unique gathering of stakeholders, bringing together many members of the KLC family for the first time under one “Big Tent.”

On that day, we’re convening meetings of key KLC partners and work groups, including a Community Leadership Program Summit, a Workshop for Transformation Grant partners and a Civic Engagement Conference with a newly appointed Alumni Advisory Committee. The Third Floor Research, Teaching and Journal teams as well as our Board of Directors will also meet. In addition to advancing their own work, these work groups will share, exchange and network with others.

The Big Tent reaches a high point when KLC alumni join the work groups under the big top for the Main Event, an inspiring evening celebrating our KLC family, highlighting the year in review and energizing all with the promise of what lies ahead for the Kansas Leadership Center and the transformation of civic life in Kansas.

Just as you would expect, President and CEO Ed O’Malley will welcome the KLC family to the Big Tent Main Event and facilitate small group discussions. And we’re excited to announce that our keynote speaker is Mary Hale Tolar, interim vice provost of student success and long-time director of the Staley School of Leadership Studies at Kansas State University. Finally, we’ll pay special tribute to Steve Coen, recently retired CEO of the Kansas Health Foundation and visionary co-founder of the Kansas Leadership Center.
