Darla Brunner | Director of Board Engagement and NW Kansas Initiatives

As director of board engagement, Darla works with the Kansas Leadership Center Board of Directors to ensure the board inspires, challenges and supports KLC’s mission to transform the civic culture of Kansas. She manages meetings and events, fosters relationships, and serves as liaison between board and staff, teachers and coaches. As director of NW KS initiatives, she nurtures community engagement to develop leadership capacity and expand KLC’s impact in rural Kansas.

When she is not at work, ​Darla cares for foster kids on weekends, mentors and tutors children at church and volunteers as a member of Blue Star Mothers, a support group for mothers with children in the military. Her other interests include oil painting Kansas landscapes and studying Kansas history.
