Ashley Longstaff | Director of Project Management

With a natural instinct for bringing order and structure to systems, Ashley plays a key role ensuring consistent planning and project management processes across Kansas Leadership Center related to the participant/partner journey. From partner cultivation and opportunity generation to proposal design and estimation, from equipping to supporting project delivery teams, Ashley stays connected through the life of a project to ensure a successful and repeatable journey for KLC’s participants, partners and funders. Prior to this role, Ashley served in several program staff positions connected to executing core and custom leadership development programs since 2014.

Ashley was born and raised in the small town of Inman, Kansas. Her fondest memories are summers spent at classic car shows with her parents, driving around the state in a 1972 Ford Sprint Mustang with 1970’s rock and roll music blaring through the radio. She developed a love for writing and teaching and went on to earn a degree in English education from Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas, with aspirations to become a junior high English teacher. After college, Ashley served as children’s ministry director at her home church, designing curriculum and overseeing numerous volunteers in weekly children’s activities. Nearly five years later, she left this role and moved to Wichita to begin her job at KLC and marry her fiancé, all within a couple of weeks.

Ashley and her family now live in Haysville where they enjoy the small-town life with all the benefits of the big city. Outside of work, you can find her on her bike, taking her kids to the park and library, running a home organization side business, watching superhero movies with her husband and volunteering at her church.
