Join us in celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month with the release of the Kansas Leadership Center’s first publication in Spanish. Comienza Contigo is a new translation of Your Leadership Edge, our core text by KLC President and CEO Ed O’Malley and Amanda Cebula, with illustrations by acclaimed New Yorker cartoonist Pat Byrnes.
Únase a nosotros para celebrar el Mes Nacional de la Herencia Hispana con el lanzamiento de la primera publicación en español del Kansas Leadership Center. Comienza Contigo es una nueva traducción del libro Your Leadership Edge, nuestro libro principal del presidente y director ejecutivo de KLC, Ed O’Malley y Amanda Cebula, con ilustraciones del aclamado dibujante neoyorquino Pat Byrnes.

In a brief Q&A, the authors will answer questions about the book, which explains in an engaging style a unique curriculum that has trained graduates throughout Kansas as well as in 44 states and 56 countries on 5 continents. We’ll welcome special guest Randy Stark, Executive Director for the National Association of Conservation Law Enforcement Chiefs (NACLEC), who is working with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to use the book with the International Conservation Chiefs Academy to combat global wildlife trafficking in Central and South America. You’ll also hear from lead translator and KLC Field Team teacher Claudia Amaro of AB&C Bilingual Resources, Inc. and readers whose lives and work the book has changed. The event will be held in English with a Spanish interpreter.
Comienza Contigo will be used with Avanzando Juntos, our leadership orientation program in Spanish, and in our weekly Facebook Live conversations, “En El Balcón.” The newest publication from KLC Press marks a milestone for our Spanish language initiatives, which support our work to strengthen communities by bringing leadership training to more Kansans.

En una breve sesión de preguntas y respuestas, los autores responderán preguntas sobre el libro, el cual explica en un estilo atractivo un plan de estudios único que ha capacitado a graduados en todo Kansas, así como en 44 estados y 56 países en los 5 continentes.
