Civic Saturday Recording

On Saturday, June 11, the Kansas Leadership Center partnered with Citizen University to host a virtual Kansas Civic Saturday. Civic Saturday is a unique gathering designed to help us rediscover our belief in democracy and remember what’s possible when we build together rather than tear down separately. This special edition of Civic Saturday was hosted and facilitated by KLC CEO Ed O’Malley and Citizen University CEO Eric Liu. View the recording to experience the art, dialogue and inspiring remarks.

Civic Circle Host Orientation Slides

By hosting a Civic Circle, you will bring friends and strangers together to nurture a spirit of shared purpose. These slides will help you learn how to host your own Civic Circle and steward conversations about recommitting to each other as Kansans and Americans.

Civic Circle Host Facilitation Guide

This downloadable guide has been created to help you host a gathering that motivates people to resist polarization and to recommit to “others” – so that we can face challenges more effectively, and live more meaningfully, together.

Orientation Recording

The Kansas Leadership Center hosted Civic Circle orientation sessions via Zoom on June 21 and 23. A recording of the orientation is available here for those who weren’t able to attend in real time.
