Joseph Shepard | Teacher

Bridge builder and community mobilizer are two ways to describe Joseph Shepard.

Joseph is the chief of staff at Lead for America. He is dedicated to working alongside individuals and communities to tackle adaptive challenges that impact the quality of life for those overlooked and underserved. Specifically, his bridge-building leadership style is rooted in diversity and equity. Shepard is a Kansas Leadership Center alumnus and uses the KLC principles as well as leadership framework to empower audiences to recognize their leadership skills and use them to drive progress.

As a two-time graduate of Wichita State University, Shepard is a proud shocker and Kansan who has fallen in love with all the state has to offer as well as the opportunities to help make Kansas the best place to live, work, and learn. When not facilitating leadership or working alongside Lead For America, Joseph can be found serving alongside various non-profit organizations.
